    Education Coordinator Position

    The Dr Pepper Museum is accepting applications for the position of Education Coordinator. Under the direction of the Education and Engagement Manager, the Education Coordinator supports the Museum’s mission to educate, entertain, and inspire by sharing stories about Dr Pepper and the soft drink industry through the facilitation and development of programming and outreach.

    The position of Education Coordinator is a full-time position. The position reports to the Education and Engagement Manager. The position qualifies for benefits and overtime pay.

    Duties:

    • Acts as an excellent goodwill ambassador for the Museum.
    • Facilitates field trips, tours, and other educational programs, including Liquid Lab shows.
    • Supports the E & E Manager with the coordination and scheduling of tours and field trips.
    • Supports E & E Manager with training of new staff and interns on tours, programs, Liquid Lab shows, and gallery carts.
    • Contributes to the implementation of free enterprise content in exhibits.
    • Maintains food safety standards for programming.
    • Plans and facilitates the museum’s monthly Pop Up Saturdays.
    • Coordinates and attends outreach promotional opportunities.
    • Assists the Communications & Marketing Manager with the filming and collecting of resources for the virtual tour.
    • Maintains the content of the virtual tour by developing new sections and removing/updating sections to reflect the current museum exhibits and content.
    • Supports E & E Manager on program development.
    • Develops, communicates, and maintains data from field trip evaluations.
    • Provides backup support for Experiences.
    • Performs other duties as assigned as part of the DPM team.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Education or training is equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
    • Museum experience is preferred. Educational experience or working with children is required.
    • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and the Office suite of programs and Zoom and Teams required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Developed organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to establish departmental and individual goals and objectives, organize activities and projects, and demonstrate good judgment.
    • Calm, professional, respectful demeanor, and service-oriented focus when interacting with visitors, employees, and vendors.
    • Management of large groups of children and adults.
    • Strong communication and writing skills.
    • Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with employees, internal clients/customers, and external customers.

    Licensure:

    • Valid State driver’s license.

    Employment Screening and Compliance:

    • Background check will be performed before employment. The Museum retains the right to perform random drug screening.
    • May require working holidays, weekends, and evenings. Travel off-site and out-of-town is a must.

    Compensation / Benefits

    • Full-time, non-exempt position
    • 40 hours per week, with occasional opportunities for overtime
