MPMA's Exhibit Development and Design Professional Interest Network is being re-formed
The National Association for Museum Exhibition (NAME) is a separate affair and MPMA is reviewing the ways in which our regional Exhibit Design PIN will distinguish itself.
What is NAME?
NAME is the National Association for Museum Exhibition, one of the Professional Networks of the American Alliance of Museums (AAM). It fulfills the role of a Professional Interest Network of the MPMA through its regional representative to the Mountain-Plains.
Mission
Our mission is to provide a network for those in the MPMA region who work with or are interested in exhibitions. We want to enhance the cultural landscape by providing a forum on the value and relevance of exhibitions.
The National Association for Museum Exhibition, an AAM standing
professional committee, is dedicated to advancing the exhibits
profession. NAME's mission is to enhance the cultural landscape by
advancing the value and relevance of exhibitions through dialogue among
individuals, museum leaders, and the public. NAME promotes excellence
and best practices, identifies trends and recent innovations, provides
access to resources, promotes professional development and cultivates
leadership for exhibit professionals.
