Article Submission

The following types of articles are published in MPMA’s Monthly Newsletter.

• MPMA News Articles — about the professional activities of MPMA's members, committees, institutions within the region, state museum councils, and other organizations with a related mission.
• Spotlight Articles — about the industry at large, ranging from calls to advocacy to issues facing cultural institutions to professional events attended by MPMA members. These articles may be scholarly, but do not directly address scientific methodology or technology, so they are not considered technical articles.
• Practical Articles — about the practical aspects of working at public institutions that are devoted to learning, e.g. museums, outdoor learning centers, interpretive spaces, zoos, etc.

Submitting Articles for publication in the MPMA Newsletter

1. Format your article in accordance with the contributor guidelines.
2. If your article is written on behalf of the MPMA Board of Directors, or an MPMA PIN, SPC, or Committee, complete the Transfer of Copyright Agreement.
3. Attach the following as separate files in e-mail (not embedded in the message body):
       Your article;
       Completed Transfer of Copyright Agreement (if applicable);
       Any related images.
4. Refer to the News Article due dates above, and send your e-mail to director@mpma.net
